     Ed has written over three hundred articles, author interviews, bibliographies, and reviews in such publications as The ALAN Review, Book Links, Booklist, Book Page, English Journal, Kirkus, Library Media Connection, Multicultural Review, School Library Journal, and Voices of Youth Advocates. He is the author of two professional books for librarians and teachers, The Holocaust in Literature for Youth: A Guide and Resource Book (Scarecrow Press 1999) and Reaching Reluctant Young Adult Readers: A Handbook for Librarians and Teachers (Scarecrow Press 2002). He is presently working on two more professional books for Scarecrow, a critical biography of author Milton Meltzer and a guide to Appalachian literature for children and youth. The Ultimate Weapon: The Race to Build the Atomic Bomb, published in 2007 by Holiday House, is his first book for young people.
