How to Be a Reading Role Model—What you can personally do to make children want to read. This presentation is especially appropriate for parent groups.

Literature Across the Curriculum—Using fiction, informational books, picture books, and poetry in any subject area for any grade level.  

Reaching Reluctant Readers—Resources and strategies for reaching tweens and teens who can but choose not to read. This presentation can be tailored for parents or teachers.

Writing Informational Books for Young People—What makes a great informational book for young people? Thorough research, appealing visual material to accompany your text and, of course, a great story! We will explore those topics, the differences between series and trade publishing, and more.
